This is a coat I bought few days ago. I liked it a lot. I had an impression that is was a bit different from what is avaliable in a resonable price nowadays and the coat fits my body type at the same time - not too big top, flared bottom, pockets with flaps at waist, gatherings - and additionally -buttons, which, don't look tacky here and give this something to the whole thing...
To jest płaszcz, który kupiłam parę dni temu. Bardzo mi się spodobał, mam wrażenie, że wyróżnia się trochę na tle tych tańszych płaszczy, a jednocześnie pasuje na mój typ sylwetki - nie za duża góra, poszerzony dół, kieszenie z patkami na wysokości talii, marszczenia - do tego guziki, które mam wrażenie nie wyglądają tu tandetnie i dodają tego czegoś do całości...

... but I had an impression that the front lacks another row of buttons and the back stands out of the composition of the whole thing, that's why I had decided to make it a little prettier. Not the whole intervention has been done, although I think the mission has been accomplished. Assess please:)
I bought (surprisingly!) 2 buttons in a haberdashery, the same size to those from the cuffs of my coat and with a very similar top to the original ones. Obviously, if you look closely, you can see the differance, but I thought that if the buttons are to be in the back, and there would be no chance to directly compare them, nobody would see the differance.
Unfortunatelly there were no bigger buttons avaliable at the shop (the size matching those from the front), that's why the intervention wasn't done as planned. I sewed those two buttons in the back seems of the coat and I made a simple, matching colour, 5cm wide strip, I made a button holes in.
...ale miałam wrażenie, że z przodu brakuje jednego rzędu guzików i tył trochę nie komponował mi się z całością, dlatego postanowiłam lekko ulepszyć płaszcz. Zabieg nie został wykonany w całości, choć i tak uważam, że był udany. Oceńcie sami.
Kupiłam (o dziwo!) w pasmanterii bardzo podobne 2 guziki tej samej wielkości co te na mankietach. Oczywiście jak się przyjrzymy, to widać różnicę, ale pomyślałam, że skoro guziki mają być z tyłu, i nie będzie okazji, żeby je bezpośrednio porównać, to nikt nie zauważy różnicy.
Niestety większych (takich jak te z przodu) nie było, dlatego przedsięwzięcie zostało wykonane tylko w części. Przyszyłam te dwa guziki z tyłu na szwach i uszyłam zwykły pasek, w kolorze płaszcza, o szerokości 5cm, w którym zrobiłam dziurki na guziki.
A simple trick, but I think it made a big differance. It's hard to believe that I found matching buttons and wool:):):)
Niby prosty trick, ale uważam, że zrobił wielką różnicę. I tak jest mi ciężko uwierzyć, że znalazłam w pasmanterii odpowiadające guziki, a w sklepie z tkaninami wełnę o identycznym kolorze:):):)
